Heemskerk, Holland Johan Bus is born in 1944 at Velsen (Holland). He has always been very interested in pencildrawing. In 1989 he made de discision to jump over to painting by joining a course in aquarelpainting in a little castle ( Château de Boisson ) at Saint-Ambroix (Gard/ France). The lessons were given by the professional artist Peer van Veen. The use of color and the multiple possibilities stimulated him to decide to continue painting with aquarel and other materials like acryl, oilpaint and pastel. From 1991 he is a member of the paintersclub, the St Lucasgilde Beverwijk at Beverwijk in the Netherlands. His style is changed from figuratif to abstract cubisme.
